We Heart Our Homes

Our lives are ever-changing. We chase our dreams and reach our goals, sometimes in homes we were born in, often in homes we make far away from home. The thing that never changes is the idea of home. Never mind the address, it remains our sacred space. A place where we keep our belongings, where we return to rest, where we share meals with loved ones, and where we raise our families.

Fusion Access is here to help you build homes and build memories, one important piece at a time. When we launched in 1997, our mission was to introduce ‘mixed media’ to design. We borrowed this term from the art world, to reflect a little bit of this and a little bit of that in our dynamic lives. We wanted to integrate different materials and give you investment products that would live with you.

Furniture By Design

Furniture by design

Our pieces of furniture are much like our design sensibility, it’s a versatile keepsake. They stay with you even as you move homes, or move rooms around. Each piece speaks in several languages and can blend into varying surroundings and genres. Yes, we still receive orders for products we designed 25 years ago.

Our Studio

Our home is located in a historic part of Bombay, not Mumbai, adjoining a Grade I heritage railway station. Reay Road was named so after Lord Reay, the governor of Bombay from 1885-1890. It’s also a skip away from the Eastern Expressway, the city’s new lifeline, as well as its historic docks, ship-breaking yards and even goat sheds—all of which give the city its colour and vibrancy. We love the idea of our luxury stemming from so much history and industry. We also love that we have the space to house our showroom, factory, design and digital studios all under one roof.

Fine Craftsmanship

We are also committed to high quality craftsmanship. Our artisans sustain us in keeping our work in fine form. Fusion Access is committed to organise this unorganised pool of talent by paying fair wages as well as assisting them through the ‘digital India’ landscape so they can work in any urban setting with ease.

Our products primarily use recycled Burma teak, a gold standard in wood, purchased from demolitions and auctions. Fusion Access is proudly turning greener by managing its waste better. Our leftover foam and textiles are used in making pillows and cushions for orphanages. Our wood wastage is donated for use as fuel.

Nuts and Bolts

Our methods are planned with the intent of personalising your space, in tune with your needs and your style. An accurate layout is first drafted to ensure sizing is absolute. Your requirements are then noted in detail and drawings are made for approval. We develop samples and finishes, and provide mock-ups to tailor to proportions and comfort. In the end, what you have is a handcrafted, highly sophisticated piece that has best brought your vision to life.

"You see four walls but there I see a space with endless possibilities. Design, at Fusion Access, is like solving a puzzle, there are many confusing pieces but they all come together to make one fabulous room."
